The VP label focuses on frontline and new release products from Jamaica-centric contemporary artists. From developing acts to the genre’s top names, VP is the home for dancehall and reggae music. Throughout its 40-plus-years history VP has specialized in selling the current hits and trends emanating from Jamaica and the Caribbean. Associated artists include: Beres Hammond, Gyptian, Jah Cure, Spice, Jahvillani and Intence.
With sons Christopher Chin and Randy Chin overseeing the operations of VP Records, Greensleeves Records that was acquired in 2007, and re-issue label 17 North Parade that was created in 2007, the company still follows suit with the family’s original mission of providing a channel for Caribbean music globally.
